This will be the second in a series of three workshops on Russian song hosted by Irish Doctors Choir (the third in the series will be held in Dublin and Cork later this year.). All experienced singers are invited to participate.
Led by Music Director Brian MacKay, each workshop will build on the previous one to examine the ‘Russianness” of Russian music, including the power of singing much-loved works in their original language. Music for the day will include works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Borodin and others. Brian aims to work on one or two pieces that you might like to introduce to your choir and to send you home with a “toolkit” for use when singing Russian music.
[For those of you who are IDC members, these workshops will support your learning for this year’s November concert when we will be performing a largely Russian programme in Cork City]
We are looking forward to another fun day of singing in Dublin.
Why not come and join us!
After registration, we will send you more information about the programme and venue with a link to let you download and print your music for the day.
