IN KEEPING WITH OUR RESIDENTIAL WEEKEND TRADITION, OUR SATURDAY EVENING DINNER WILL INVOLVE WINE , SONG AND FOOD..IN THAT ORDER!
THIS YEAR THE THEME IS ‘MUSIC THEATRE’ AND EVERYONE, INCLUDING ACCOMPANYING PERSONS, IS WELCOME TO TAKE PART.
FORMAT. A drinks reception followed by dinner. The space will be laid out cabaret-style to allow fun performances between and after courses. There will be a mix of popular choruses, solos and groups, hopefully a piano medley thrown in. Seating is unreserved, so let’s have the usual random mix of members and friends.
DRESS CODE As a default, we invite everyone ( including APs) to wear something black, or at least dark-coloured. Definitely not black concert dress – wrong vibe- and it needn’t be elegant unless you want it to be! .Never fear, we will be supplying a few props to brighten you up. Alternatively, if you want come dressed for one of your roles in this ‘production’ that will be impressive.
MUSIC PROGRAMME
Gareth will be at the piano and Brian will be directing this little show.
Small Groups or individuals on the programme have been contacted separately but here are the songs choruses for everybody.
Brian asks us, if possible , to learn the melody and lyrics in advance. Don’t worry, these lyrics will be on a screen at the dinner as well.
