Our in person rehearsal with Brian  (Saturday 4 November) is going to be an excellent preparation for the Waterford Concert . If you can make it at all, please please do.

We will not have spare copies of the score so make sure you bring your marked up version with you


1. Location and Times

Royal Hospital Donnybrook, Concert Hall

Times
1000-1300h and
13.45-1630h

Enter via main entrance and the concert hall is just across the foyer on left.


2. Parking / Transport

There is free parking on site (though it may be busy) and limited on street free parking on Bloomfield Avenue (which leads to the main from entrance) and Bushfield Terrace (which leads to the rear (pedestrian/staff vehicular access).

There is a covered bike rack near the chapel and mortuary, and a second one near the rear entrance.

The 46A bus has a stop on Morehampton Road, very near the Bloomfield Avenue turn off.

The eircode for RHD is HX40, which can be used to search Google Maps for directions.

3. Refreshments

We have permission to use the staff canteen (closed to staff on a Saturday, they use the RHD coffee shop) for our refreshment breaks and hot water will be available.

Some of our local members are bringing refreshments, but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE CUP.

As an alternative, the coffee shop in RHD will be open from 9am to 4:30pm for tea, coffee, snacks and sandwiches.


4. Lunch

Options are limited, so please consider bringing your own lunch.

The coffee shop in RHD; the Hampton Hotel Bistro on Morehampton Road (does an all day menu from 12:00 to 9:30pm).

“Happy Out”, a small coffee shop on Morehampton Road; and Donnybrook Fair, also on Morehampton Road, which does made to order sandwiches/wraps etc. to take out.

5. Covid Precautions if required

Depending on the level of Covid in the community, masks may be required in the communal areas, but we can remove them in the concert hall, staff canteen, and while eating in the coffee shop.
